Queen of the Universe was a short-lived international drag queen singing reality competition series (ala Eurovision Song Contest) where it brings 14 queens from across the globe to battle it out in a singing competition for the ages. In other words, according to the tagline, you can "expect high heels, high octaves and high drama that'll blow your wig off".

Premise[]

The series takes 14 of the world's fiercest queens, as the vie for the title of "Queen of the Universe" and a cash prize of $250,000. Each episode will showcase the contestants' vocal prowess as they debut a new musical performance in front of a live audience.

Trivia[]

This show premiered on the same day as Baking It hosted by Andy Samberg & Maya Rudolph for Peacock.
In season 1, 14 contestants competed while in season 2, 10 contestants competed.
On June 25, 2023, it was announced that the series has been cancelled[1]after two seasons. Not only that, but it was being pulled from the service less than two weeks after the last batch of episodes were released along with the cancellations of the rebooted The CW/BET sitcom/dramady series The Game, the prequel dramedy series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies and the animated CGI series Star Trek: Prodigy as part of the company's plan to take tax write-offs for underperforming series.
