Robin Williams (born July 21, 1951; died August 11, 2014) was an American stand-up comedian and game show contestant. He was best known for his stand-up comedy roles, theater roles, television roles, and movie roles.

His movie credits include Mrs. Doubtfire, Popeye, Flubber, Jumanji, The Night At The Museum series, Awakenings, and Good Morning, Vietnam. He was best known as the voice of the Genie in Disney's Aladdin.

Game Show Career[]

In the game show industry, he was best known for appearing as a contestant on Whose Line is it Anyway? and Hollywood Squares.

Death[]

Williams died on August 11, 2014, by committing suicide from depression he suffered with in his later years. He is survived by his wives Valerie Velardi, Marsha Garces, Susan Schneider, and his three children, who includes actress and dancer Zelda Williams.
