In the third quarterfinal game, he faced off against Michael Arnone and Michelle Clum. Throughout the first two rounds, he came up with 12/16 correct responses (including 1/1 Daily Double). Nobody got Final correct, but Ryan came from behind and advanced to the semifinals. Michael and Michelle received $2,5000 as their $0 ($2,400) and $1,599 were not enough to advance.
In the first semifinal game, he faced off against Babu Srinivasan and Tad Carithers. Throughout the first two rounds, he came up with 13/14 correct responses. He was the only player who got Final incorrect, but after losing to Tad, he and Babu received $5,000.
