Saban Productions (later Saban Entertainment) was an American-Israeli television company founded in 1980 by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy. The company is best known for taking and dubbing Japanese shows and adapting them for American audiences. Examples include: Power Rangers (which is based on the Super Sentai series), Digimon: Digital Monsters (Adventure series only), Big Bad Beetleborgs (known as Juukou B-Fighter), VR Troopers (adapted from several parts of the Metal Hero series) and Masked Rider (known as Kamen Rider).
Today, Saban Productions is known as Saban Brands; though several of its brands are owned by The Walt Disney Company.
