Sally Anne Struthers (born July 28, 1947) is an American actress, TV personlaity and spokeswoman, best known for her roles as Gloria Stivic on All in the Family (for which she won two Emmy awards) and its short-lived spin-off series Gloria, Mark Addy's mother Louise on Still Standing and as Babette on Gilmore Girls.

Live-action career[]

In the 80s & 90s, she's also credited for being the spokeswoman for ICS (International Correspondence Schools). Sally has also been a spokesperson for Christian Children's Fund (later ChildFund), advocating on behalf of impoverished children in developing countries, mainly in Africa. Sally appeared on many game shows over the years and had even found time to sub for Vicki Lawrence on the NBC daytime version of Win, Lose or Draw.

Personal Life[]

Sally Struthers was born in Portland, Oregon, one of two children, with sister Sue, of Margaret Caroline (née Jernes) and Robert Alden Struthers, a surgeon who left the family when Sally was 9 or 10 years old. Her maternal grandparents were Norwegian immigrants. Struthers married William C. Rader, a psychiatrist. They had one child together, Samantha Struthers Rader, before their divorce.
