
Sam Simon (b. June 6, 1955- d. March 8, 2015) was an American director, producer, writer, and poker player. He was most remembered for co-developing The Simpsons. Simon was also an animal rights activist, philanthropist, and boxing manager. His only game show credit was Sam's Game, which he hosted. By 2012, however, he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and died in 2015. Prior to his death, he donated his money to charities.
