"Think you have a way with words? Well, so do our players and tonight, two board game brainiacs are going head-to-head for their chance to win up to $10,000. It's time for SCRABBLE!"

Scrabble, the world's most popular crossword board game has once again turned into a TV game show, this time for the CW. This is the third attempt to turn this into a game show adaptation.

Gameplay[]

Main Game[]

Contestants compete in a series of word games based on the world famous crossword board game. There were two contestants in the first season and three starting in the second season. Also starting in the second season, there are returning champions, meaning that the winner of each game returned to play in the next game against two new challengers.

Round 1[]

Contestant attempted to unscramble words by answering one word clues.

Season 1[]

Raven reads a one word clue to one of six scrambled words on a super sized Scrabble board, and the player in control has to guess what the word is, with a correct answer earning them the traditional Scrabble score for that word. An incorrect answer or no answer gives the opponent a chance to steal. The first word that's revealed always has a letter on the star square. As in the game, the words connect via one shared letter, and the double/triple letter/word spaces increase the score accordingly. There are five-letter words in the first set, and six-letter words and seven-letter words in the second set.

Season 2[]

All clues in this round are toss-ups. First, Craig would give a clue, followed by the scrambled letters. The first player to buzz in gets first chance to guess. Guessing the right word scores a point, but a wrong guess or no guess gives the other player(s) a chance to steal. After the first winner is crowned, the board resets. The first two players to guess four words correctly advances to the next round.

Round 2[]

In Round 2, the players are given sets of seven letters and must make their best words from those sets. They must declare the word, and then where they want to place it. The player with the most points at the end of this round wins the game.

Season 1[]

The players were given the same four racks of seven letters to use to make the highest and best scoring words possible. There was no bingo bonus.

Season 2[]

Six hidden racks are placed on the board, with the highest scoring letters revealed at the outset. So each player gets three turns. On a player's turn (s)he selected a rack to play and try to make the highest and best scoring word possible. This time, the 50 point bingo bonus is available.

Bonus Round[]

The player has seven more sets of letters with which to form seven words, earning money along the way. The object of the game is to reach 200 points or more and win $10,000.

Season 1[]

The winning contestant was given seven new letters each time, earning money for reaching set point totals: 100 is worth $1,000, 150 is worth $5,000, and reaching 200 wins the player $10,000. If the player's final score is under 100, (s)he was still awarded $500.

Season 2[]

The winning contestant is given seven letters to start and after each play, the letters used are replaced with new letters. (S)he is awarded $25 for every point scored (up to $4,975), and like before, reaching 200 points or more wins $10,000.
