"Your best friend would look really cute if she or he lost ten pounds. Would you tell him or her? Four of these stars said 'yes', but which four? Abby Dalton, Bob Ridgeley, Linda Blair, Shelley Taylor Morgan, Jim Bullock, or Doug Davidson? We'll get the answer to that revealing question and a lot more like it today, on Star Cluster! And here's the man who makes the fair of all, Jim McKrell!"

Star Cluster was an unsold game show pilot about how much contestants know about a panel of stars.

Gameplay[]

Main Game[]

Two contestants played a game where six celebrities seated and arranged in a triangle and with a star in front of each, were asked questions about their personalities and how they would handle interesting situations. It was up to the contestants to mind read them and find out how well they know them.

On a player's turn, (s)he would pick a star and McKrell would pose a personal question with three possible answers to that star. The panel would then lock in their choices (A, B or C) and then the contestant in control would make his/her own choice. The chosen star would then reveal his/her choice and making a match captured that star won some money. The contestant could also win bonus money for every star who chose the correct answer. Once a star was captured, (s)he was out of play and cannot be chosen again for the rest of the round, but still can vote on the other questions.

The game was played in two rounds of six questions each; and it can end in one of two ways: either by having all the questions exhausted or a star cluster of three stars in a triangle was formed. The first contestant to form a star cluster also won bonus money.

Round 1[]

Questions dealt with uncommon situations and every match was worth $25 each. Forming a star cluster was worth an extra $250.

Round 2[]

Questions dealt with real life situations and the dollar values were doubled, meaning that every match was worth $50 each. Forming a star cluster was worth an extra $500.

The player with the most money at the end of this round won the game and a chance at a new car.

Bonus Round: Superstar[]

The panel was asked one more question but this time it involved a yes or no answer. Four of them said yes and those were the stars to find to win. The winning contestant would call each star one at a time. Finding one yes answer won him/her $250. The second awarded $500. The third was worth a trip and finding all four won the contestant a brand new car. But if at anytime (s)he spotted a no answer, the money/prizes were lost. So to prevent this from happening, (s)he had the option to stop and keep whatever they won. Spotting a no answer on the first call, had the rest of the game be played for $100/yes answer.
