Tournament of Champions[]

In the fourth quarterfinal match, he went up against fellow five-time champions Paula Tupper and Bruce Fauman. While Steve managed to get fourteen out of sixteen of his answers correct, his performance couldn't compare with Bruce's. But his score was enough to make him a wildcard semifinalist.

In the first semifinal match, he went up against five-time champions Ric Moser and Larry Floyd. His performance here compared to the quarterfinals was basically night and day, making him a lock for the finals.

In the final match, he went up against Bruce Fauman and Jerry Frankel. Steve fared decently in both matchups earning an impressive $4,500 going into game two. However, in game two, he struggled to catch up to Jerry and Bruce and a tough FJ! question gave him third place and $5,100.

Super Jeopardy![]

In the first quarterfinal game, he went up against Ouida Rellstab, Bruce Naegeli and Bob Verini. Steve went on a run for the latter half of the Jeopardy round. But when DJ!, rolled around, Bob could not be stopped. Not even a correct and true FJ! wager could get steve out of second place.

10th Anniversary Tournament[]

In the first semifinal match, he went up against Roy Holliday and Leslie Frates. Steve sadly didn't fare as good as any of his previous performances here, being in last for nearly the entirety of the game.
