"(insert occupation) meet a trio of (insert occupation). (insert name and situation) and (insert name and situation) are they are hottest couple? As we play America's favorite romance game show, STRAIGHT TO THE HEART! And here's our host, Michael Burger!"
Straight to the Heart featured three men & three women looking for love, trying to find out which one of the three members of the opposite sex who they were most compatible with than the others.
Gameplay[]
Main Game[]
Six players (three men & three women) competed for love, romance & cash and maybe even a trip for two in this comedy game of love & romance.
Before the show, the participants were asked a series of intimate questions about themselves. Then, during the show, the players from the opposite sex were given three statements the original gender gave (one for each player) and chose which statement suited them. The original gender then revealed who said what and each matching answer awarded each of them $50 multiplied by the number of opposite sex players who chose that statement.
Unlike most game shows that used money as score, it didn't matter how much money any of the players had; it was how often one man & one woman matched each other. After three rounds (meaning one player could potentially win up to $450), the man & the woman with the most matches between each other (with a maximum of six) won the game.
Bonus Round[]
The winning contestants (who by that point became a couple) had 45 seconds to match each other five times with dual-choice questions under a specific subject. The winners were equipped with two letters (A & B) and they would hold them up indicating which answer they chose. Also the couple wore special heart-shaped blindfold glasses to prevent them from seeing each other's answers. They received $50 for each successful match, and if they matched five times before time expired, they earned a choice of either $500 in cash, or a trip plus a bonus prize.
