The Entertainer Starring Wayne Newton (not to be confused with comedian/former host of It's Worth What? and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Cedric the Entertainer) was a short-lived reality competition series where ten hopefuls earned the chance of a lifetime to win a featured spot in Wayne Newton's long-running Las Vegas Extravaganza.
Premise[]
From a pool of the most talented comics, illusionist and singers in the country, these performers were challenged mentally, physically and creatively over the course of 10 weeks to learn the answer to the question: Do they have what it takes to win the gig of a lifetime? Under the watchful eye of Wayne Newton himself, these hopefuls learned from a legend, honed their performance skills their stuff in the big time to see what it takes to become "The Entertainer".
