The Hook Up (not to be confused with TV One's Get the Hook-Up) is MTV's hot new dating game show where singles sift through social media and web dirt to discover the truth about their potential daters in order to find the perfect match for an awesome date in Hollywood.

Premise[]

Individuals looking for a match will choose from four potential suitors based on their social media history. With help from their closest friends, the contestants will try to separate the contenders from the pretenders to see if what you see is really what you get.

In three fast-paced rounds, they explore pics, vids, tweets and updates just to find the good, the bad, and the ugly to help the singles decide whom to eliminate. Ultimately, two finalists will go head-to-head as their often embarrassing and always personal secrets are exposed.

The single then chooses with whom to "hook up", but the twist is that the chosen dater gets to see the single's online dirt before accepting the date.

Trivia[]

Host Andrew Schulz is best known for being on MTV2's Guy Code and Hip Hop Squares (2012 version).
