Kristina Louise "Tina" Yothers (born May 5, 1973) is an American actress best known for her role as Jennifer Keaton on the hit NBC sitcom series Family Ties, as well as for her roles in numerous television films throughout the 1980s and early 1990s including The Cherokee Trail, Crash Course, and Spunk: The Tonya Harding Story among others.
As a youth since the age of three, Tina appeared in TV commercials. Her first big break came in 1981 starring in the TV movie The Cherokee Trail. The next year, Yothers starred in the feature film Shoot the Moon. But it wasn't until the late Gary David Goldberg and his company UBU Productions cast her in the role of Jennifer Keaton in a new sitcom for NBC called Family Ties that got Tina noticed. Tina literally grew up on that show; she was nine when it started and she was 16 when it ended in 1989.
After Family Ties closed up shop, Tina doused her hair from blonde to black and hadn't been back since.
Tina is also singer, in fact she sang with a band formed by her brother Cory called Jaded. They released their self-titled CD in 1998. The earliest she showed off her singing chops was in 1987 during an episode of Family Ties called "Band on the Run".
Tina hadn't been too active in the entertainment industry since 1996. But she had made a few reality show appearances here and there. One of them was on a show called Celebrity Wife Swap where she traded places with actress/comedian Niecy Nash.
Tina didn't get married until close to her 30th birthday in 2002. She's currently married to an electrician named Robert Kaiser, who had a daughter from a previous marriage. Yothers has two children, daughter Lillian Grace 'Lilly', born October 2005, and a son, Robert Jake born September 24, 2007. The family currently resides in Ontario, California.
