Trivia[]
- Tom won 4 games ($45,690), losing his 5th, in games aired January 31 to February 4, 1994. 8 months later, he returned to the show on October 10, 1994 (because of a "clue discrepancy") whereupon he won an additional $11,990 to become a 5-time champion, just in time for the 1994 Tournament of Champions, which aired the following month. (Had he not won his return game, his 4-day total was high enough that he’d have qualified for the Tournament of Champions anyway.)
- He is the first champion among the contestants to sit in every position once.
