Up to Paar was a short-lived early evening quizzer in which contestants answered question based on current news events.

Gameplay[]

After interviewing contestants selected from the studio audience. Paar asked a series of questions (worth $5, $10, $15, $25, and $50) based on stories in the news. All winnings were paid in silver dollars.

At the end of the show, all the contestants that took part returned for the jackpot question taken from that day's newspaper. A correct answer to this question won a jackpot that started at $100, and grew by whatever money wasn't won earlier in the show.
