Yo Soy El Artista was a short-lived Spanish-language reality talent competition show that says "If you believe that you were born to sing, to interpret, to go out on stage and conquer the audience, then you have the soul of an artist and we are looking for you".
Premise[]
Throughout thirteen episodes, viewers will witness the dramatic elimination of the contestants of the show, phase after phase, until finding the best of the artist. Fulfilling the dream of becoming the artist overcoming a hard road full of obstacles. Contestants must pass demanding auditions, survive hellish days of mass eliminations and earn a place in the School of Artist. Once inside, they must work to live together, learn and grow together with the best instructors. Week after week, they will have to demonstrate their talent on stage in a spectacular television gala, earning the support and respect of the jury, the professors and the audience to try to become the winner.
- ASPIRANTS: After some hard auditions, only fourteen will enter the School of Artist where they will remain for eight weeks under the strict discipline of the best teachers. Each week they must demonstrate their progress at a live music gala. And every week the least prepared must leave the School. Only one of the will be THE ARTIST.
- SOCIAL GRADE: One hundred "influencers" selected for their relevance in social and musical media: bloggers specialized in music, twitstars, music critics, radio DJs, stars of the chain. These one hundred people are located on a rotating slipway. They are the first obstacle that the applicant must overcome in his/her audition.
- JUDGES: Five renowned personalities (i.e. Tanon, Izaguirre, Chiquibaby, Fonsi and Quintero); a varied jury that provides musical knowledge; but also sense of show, good humor and firmness when necessary.
