You Deserve It was a short-lived game show in which instead of trying to win money for themselves, contestants tried to win money for others.
Premise[]
The contestant plays for a beneficiary, who is put on surveillance throughout the show and told of the winnings at the end.
He or she plays five rounds which involve identifying a "Who", "What" or "Where" subject based on a series of clues. The player is given the subject's category and one free clue. An additional 9 clues are hidden on the board, with each clue purchased of reduced difficulty. The bank for each round is divided into 9 increasing values, hidden behind cards numbered from 1-9. To purchase a clue, the player chooses a numbered card. The amount is revealed and subtracted from the bank, then the clue is revealed. A player can guess the subject at any time, but they only get one guess. If they are correct, the remaining bank is saved and added to their total winnings; if they are incorrect, they forfeit any remaining bank for that round.
A total of 5 rounds are played in each game. The first round has a starting bank of $10,000; Round 2 starts at $25,000; Round 3, $50,000; Round 4, $100,000; and Round 5, $250,000, for a possible grand total of $435,000.
